Our History

Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church was organized in September 2013 with a commitment to Biblical truth and worship as expressed in the historic Reformed and Presbyterian theological tradition. It was started with a group of around 60 Christians from Locust and the surrounding area.
Rev. Michael Cannon, a PCA minister serving as a military Chaplain at Ft. Bragg was called as the pastor and began full time ministry at Trinity in July 2014. He served Trinity through March 2016.
Rev. G. Mark James was called, ordained, and installed as pastor in February 2017 and served at Trinity until August 2022.
Rev. James Almond was installed as pastor in April 2023. Pastor Almond double majored in Bible and Psychology at Columbia International University and has a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte). He and his wife have three girls.
