WHAT IS THE SERVICE LIKE?
The worship at Trinity is simple in format, reflecting our commitment to worship God as He has instructed us to in His word. We engage in praise, prayer, and learning from God's word. Each week we sing hymns to God as well as a selection from the Psalms set to music (God is the best hymn writer, after all!). Congregational worship is designed to unite us before God as His people as we engage in worship as one, even as we testify to our faith, confess our sin, and hear the assurance of God's pardon from His word. Our services last around an hour. We participate in the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
The Bible says that believers are clothed with the righteousness of Christ, symbolized by a white robe (Revelation 7:9). That's the dress that matters to God. As to your literal clothes, no special outfit is required!
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILD?
We have a nursery for children from infant through 3 years of age. We encourage children to watch and participate in the service alongside their parents. Children in both Old Testament Israel and the New Testament Church were addressed and included in the corporate worship of God's people (Exodus 12:25-27; Deuteronomy 31:11-13; Nehemiah 12:43; Matthew 19:14; Ephesians 6:1; Colossians 3:20).
TRPC is very serious about the protection and care of the covenant children of the church. Given today's climate, Trinity has developed a Child Protection Policy that is given to parents, both members and visitors. Our Sunday School teachers take attendance on a weekly basis, and all of our members who work with children have to sign off on our Code of Conduct. Additionally, those who work with children go through regular training seminars. All childcare workers are subject to a background check.
